It seems everyone is jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to using twitter for MLM marketing. There are dozens of online courses that teach you how to build a huge list of twitter followers. Unfortunately, few of them take the time to teach you how to interact with your followers in a way that will actually inspire them to join your MLM. That’s what we’re going to discuss today.

Too many network marketers bombard their followers with an avalanche of tweets about their MLM company, or their latest blog post about their MLM company, or their latest webinar about their MLM company. They do this because they believe that it’s the best way to brand themselves and their company. What they don’t realize is that their efforts are often hurting their cause more than helping. Today you’re going to learn how to avoid this mistake before it ruins your twitter reputation.

Most of your twitter friends are probably pretty savvy. When they see a constant stream of tweets that all lead back to a pitch for your MLM company, they become much more guarded and less receptive. The reason for this reaction is that many of your twitter friends naturally fall into two categories; people who are already in an MLM business, and people who are marketing online but not in network marketing. And even though they might be interested in learning how they can find success with your business, they’re probably much more interested in finding success with their own.

So here’s the key to staying engaged with your twitter network without running the risk of alienating anyone. Instead of tweeting solely about your MLM company, tweet about successful marketing strategies that can work for any business. So, for example, instead of tweeting, “Check out my company, I sponsored 5 people in 1 day!” You could tweet, “2 simple strategies that will explode your business!”

Once you brand yourself as someone who’s interested in helping others succeed, whether they join your company or not, you’ll find that a lot more people will be interested in learning more about your company. The reason for this is simple. People are naturally attracted to people they like and trust. Once they like and trust you, they’ll naturally develop a curiosity about what you do.

Please understand, I’m not saying you shouldn’t tweet about your business. All I’m saying is that you should understand what business you’re really in. Successful network marketers understand that they’re not in the juice business, or the travel business, or the vitamin business; they’re in the business of helping people succeed.

So, by all means, tweet about your latest blog post or your upcoming webinar. Just make sure that your latest blog post or webinar is less about finding success with your MLM company and more about finding success with any business.

Why is this a winning strategy? Because most of your prospects are not succeeding with their current business. And the reason they’re not succeeding is because they aren’t generating enough qualified leads for their business. That’s why they’re on twitter in the first place.

So you have a great opportunity to help your twitter pals solve the biggest problem they have. And if you do help them solve their biggest problem, they will like you, trust you, and a good number of them will want to be in business with you.

Now, if you don’t know how to generate a steady flow of qualified leads, then you need to learn. Lead generation is a skill that can be learned just like any other. And how can you help others if you can’t help yourself? Consistent lead generation is the MLM marketing secret that will explode your business and will position you to attract an endless supply of qualified prospects, who are dying to learn what you already know.

Your business will succeed beyond your wildest dreams when you truly understand that helping others succeed is your business.
