Network Marketing – Succeed Withyour Warm Market
Many of us have been in a situation where we begin to explain a network marketing opportunity to our peers but at some point into the explanation we realize that it isn’t going as smoothly as planned. It’s a mistake common among network marketers to give the details all upfront but regardless of experience level it can sometimes be a bit challenging to not give into the temptation of “spilling all the beans” prematurely. There are many reasons for why affiliates are discouraged from explaining an opportunity from scratch and I’ll be discussing those reasons throughout this article. I’ll also go into explaining the proper way to introduce a business concept respectfully among your peers thus resulting in an increased amount of network marketing success and eventually financial freedom.
Many network marketing companies have informative tools and presentations that do a wonderful job at explaining and presenting their opportunity as well as the products involved. In fact many companies have invested plenty of money into professionals and firms that put these presentations together into an informative, attractive and efficient business model that can get the job done quicker and smoother than any one person can. The main reason for why we shouldn’t get into explaining all of the details from scratch is because as a network marketer it’s your position to connect with and introduce your prospects to these presentations as many times as possible. Once you’ve done that you can fall into sponsor or coach mode by following up and answering questions but although they are similar, sales and marketing are two different things. The marketer networks and introduces the product/opportunity and the product or presentation does the selling.
When we take it upon ourselves to explain an opportunity from scratch we chance many things including accidentally omitting something, confusing certain figures or amounts with others, forgetting what order to introduce certain aspects in or just an overall lack of efficiency when compared to the professional presentation provided by our network marketing company. Any one of these examples can be extremely detrimental to your whole presentation and can have adverse effects on your image and reputation as well.

The proper way to introduce a business concept to one of your peers would be to first peak there interest. This can be done simply by saying, “I’ve started a business with a company that’s spreading rapidly. Have you ever heard of network marketing before,” or “I’ve just began my own home-based business and I’m in a very lucrative industry. Would you like to know more about it?” Typically an attention grabbing fact such as “I’ve started a business with a company that’s spreading rapidly” or “I just began in a very lucrative industry” will easily grab someone’s attention. Then the second part of that introduction is a question. Your question should be a no-brainer. “Have you heard of network marketing” or “Would you like to learn more about my lucrative company?” Obviously you can’t interest 100 percent of the people you speak with as with any business on earth but by asking a very simple question you’ll be able to efficiently sift through who is a prime candidate and who isn’t. Nothing is worse than wasting someone’s time or getting into it with someone who isn’t even interested in the first place. Once you have your ideal prospect and his/her attention you can then lead them to your information but you’re not finished yet.
With network marketing your success will often be found in the follow up. After a day or two have passed be sure to touch base with your prospect and ask if they’re comfortable with the information they received. This does two things for you. First it confirms whether or not your prospect received the information. With spam filters, system compatibility factors or even human error they may be a chance that your prospect didn’t even receive the information that you provided for them. Secondly, it gives you an opportunity to address any unanswered questions or confusions that may have stemmed from the presentation. More often than not your prospect will have a very common or easy to answer question so take the time to make sure your answer is accurate and satisfying. Following up assures your prospect that you’re concerned with their comfort level and also gives you a better understanding of how the company works once you get the hang of building on company concepts.
If you’re new to your network marketing business yourself you may even want to consider a third-party confirmation. This is when someone in your upline assists you with answering your prospects questions. Your success is your upline’s success as well so don’t ever feel timid or reluctant to ask for your upline’s assistance. Besides, your upline was successful in introducing the business concept to you so you should have faith in their abilities to communicate ideas as well as their interest.
The underlying theme here is don’t work too hard. Utilize your tools and resources and keep it as simple as possible. Network marketing is a system that is proven and has been working for years so there’s no reason for why this system can’t work for you. Efficiency equates to productivity and that is the ultimate goal.
